Discernment Rises : A Site-Specific Typographic Installation

Some spaces ask to be decorated. Others ask to be spoken to.

This concept treats the elevator as a vertical journey — not just between floors, but between states of awareness. The phrase Discernment Rises Leading To Better Environments is distributed across opposing walls in a deliberate diagonal progression, so the language moves with the body ascending through space.

Typography here is not ornament. It is architecture. Each word placed where it lands with intention — bottom to top, left wall to right — creating a complete thought that can only be read in motion.

The phrase originates from the studio director’s own body of poetry which was language that began on the page and found its way in the walls of a rising space. What was once an internal truth becomes a shared one, experienced differently by every person who passes through.

This remains an unrealized concept. Motton Maison Studio welcomes conversations with institutions, developers, and cultural spaces interested in bringing site-specific typographic work into their environments.
